I understand the realities of running a small business because I work inside one too. My experience managing the bookkeeping and operations of a construction company has shown me how quickly invoices, supplier bills, payroll, receipts, deadlines, and everyday decisions can pile up.
My goal is simple: organized, accurate, accountant-ready books — with clear communication and reliable support along the way.
My Story
Hi, I’m Melissa — the bookkeeper behind Clear Ledger Bookkeeping.
I came to bookkeeping through hands-on experience. While managing the bookkeeping and operations of a construction business, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be to stay on top of the financial side of a business while also managing customers, staff, suppliers, projects, and everything else that comes with keeping a company moving.
I also learned how much difference organized books can make. When the numbers are current and the systems are working, there’s less scrambling, fewer unanswered questions, and a much clearer picture of what’s happening in the business.
That experience became the foundation for Clear Ledger: practical bookkeeping support for Ontario small business owners who want consistent records, straightforward communication, and a bookkeeper they can rely on.
